There's a wealth of history in these parts: Kett's Rebellion began in Norwich in 1549, The Lollard's Pit Pub was built on the chalk pit, the site of the horrific Lollards' burnings; The Blickling Estate was Anne Boleyn's childhood home and is a vast, dog friendly estate for beautiful walks - with a locked room adventure, to boot (book in advance). Norwich Castle, begun in 1066, is well worth a visit.
Not to be outdone, Great Yarmouth boasts The Rows, and the Time and Tide Museum with its fascinating smell of cod!
