There's a wealth of history in these parts: Kett's Rebellion began in Norwich in 1549, The Lollard's Pit Pub was built on the chalk pit, the site of the horrific Lollards' burningsThe Blickling Estate was Anne Boleyn's childhood home and is a vast, dog friendly estate for beautiful walks - with a locked room adventure, to boot (book in advance). Norwich Castle, begun in 1066, is well worth a visit.

Not to be outdone, Great Yarmouth boasts The Rows, and the Time and Tide Museum with its fascinating smell of cod!
